The remedial works detailed above have been carried out to the existing doorset, with reasonable skill and care, and with reference to the relevant guidance contained in BS 8214:2016 so far as is reasonably practicable given the condition and existing fabric of the doorset. No representation is made as to the doorset's original specification, manufacturer or test evidence beyond what could be verified on site at the time of works.

Where the doorset's original third-party certification could be evidenced, replacement components have been selected with regard to compatibility. Where it could not (as is commonly the case with older doorsets), components have been chosen in good faith from third-party-certified ranges generally accepted as compatible with comparable FDxx specifications.

This is a declaration of workmanship only. It does not warrant the fire-resistance performance of the completed doorset, nor does it constitute a UKAS-accredited third-party certificate of conformity or a substitute for a competent fire door inspection (e.g. FDIS). The Responsible Person retains all duties under the Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety) Order 2005, the Fire Safety Act 2021, the Fire Safety (England) Regulations 2022 and Section 156 of the Building Safety Act 2022.
